    Canon 7105 finisher

    Hello!
Have a canon 7105. When copies are exiting the finisher (top gate) the bottom gate will proceed to move up and down constantly. It does not seem to jam though. It will also drop to the floor sometimes. When this happens I have to turn the machine off and on to proceed. No codes!

    Thanks!

Yes. Paper is exiting the to the top tray while the bottom tray proceeds to move up and down constantly. Can I post MP4 video's?

        Is this the V1/V2

        if all checks fail
Complete Operation Assembly is FM2- 6376-000

        Tray height sensors ?

        Adjust the sensor intensity.?
Follow the detailed PDF instructions below to perform the Sensor Intensity adjustment.

This Article details changes made in the aforementioned Finisher / Saddle Finisher Tray Paper Surface Detection Sensors.

          Cause

As a result of the discontinuance of one of the electric components used to manufacture the Tray Paper Surface Detection Sensors, the LED PCB Assembly (FG3-0082-040) [1] and the Detect Sensor PCB Assembly (FM2-5709-000) [2] have been changed to a new type.

          Service Parts

          CAUTION!
Use of the incorrect LED PCB Assembly or Detect Sensor PCB Assembly can result in the Paper Trays descent, but then it will not return to Home Position.

As the old type LED PCB Assembly and Detect Sensor PCB Assembly are used on other models, their part numbers have been revised so that they can continue to be used on the other models.

Clean the receivers and transmitters before you initialize the sensors. The paper stack sensors project across the paper tray so when stack reaches a certain height the tray drops a bit. Also, on the trays themselves there is a board with photo interrupts that look at the tray's position along the guide rail. The screw to mount the pcb with the photo interrupts on it comes loose and pcb flops around
