    [Electrical] IRadv 6265 paper deck D1

    Hi,

    another strange one...brand new machine installed last week, iradv 6265 with paper deck D1. Working fine for a week, then customer calls saying a message saying " check paper deck" message appearing. Visited the machine and paper deck lifting and lowering, but saying check paper deck. Went on to canon Sims and under common settings, there is no Store settings for paper deck listed. Went into service mode and under PD setting, set to 0 but still doesnt have the Store setting in common settings. Tried loading it A4R but still says check paper deck. Turned off machine and d/c and r/c cable, turned on and now detects LTR size but saying no paper loaded, Original message of check paper deck has gone, but just says load paper.....Im thinking a controller issue for the deck or a sensor issue, no time on these decks at all so a bit lost....HELP

      Check that Deck Molex connector.
      Open it up, check that the internal connections are secure.
      Is deck lifting to paper detect sensor_?

          i took out the molex connector from the deck to the host and just blew it out if thats the one you are referring too, yep the lifting plate is lifting paper up to the detect sensor...apart from detecting paper everything else seems fine, theres power, lifting plate lifts up and down, door opens etc, just doesnt detect paper and that the store for deck is not under common settings. On sims you can adjust the setting to 0 on PD setting and that should bring up the message as far as i can fathom. Seems strange for a new machine and deck.

              The presence/absence of paper in the compartment is detected by the deck paper sensor (PS2).
              When the compartment runs out of paper and, as a result, the paperdetecting lever of the pickup roller assembly leaves the deck paper sensor, a message will be indicated on the control panel of the host machine.

              What does it note in I/O service mode_?

                  There is a photo interrupt that is blocked when deck is closed(latched to the machine). I have needed to extend the metal plate that blocks it. Electrical tape on the end....about 2 or 3mm hanging over to lengthen it. Actually a bulletin I believe. I just extend it
