[Electrical] imagePASS-S2 yellow display with no text.

    Hi

Anyone have experience with this problem. No troubleshooting or rebooting of the device yet, because printing works without problems.

The display has sometimes flashed yellow a few times before, but always returned to working state.

It is fitted with a Canon iR7086, and is certainly over 5 years old.

    Some tips would be great.

Re: imagePASS-S2 dark display and yellow led.

It was the status light that glows yellow with black display, on the customers imagePASS-S2 external print controller. Misunderstanding between me and the customer, when he called and reported the defect over the telephone.

(Editing possibility of the title and the post seems to be gone)

The imagePASS has a Blank Display and the Orange LED Blinks.

If this issue occurs, check to see if the fans inside of the imagePASS are running when the power switch is turned on.
If the fans are not running, power down the imagePASS, disconnect the Power Cord, and remove the BIOS Battery on the Motherboard. Wait 5 minutes and then reinstall the BIOS Battery and connect the Power Cord.
When the BIOS Battery on the Motherboard is removed, it resets the Motherboard's BIOS.

A little late to answer, but your tips helped. Blow out the fans, and everything clean from dust. Now, the LED is green again.

But a capacitor on the motherboard was broken and another about to break, so these are ordered and should be replaced within a few weeks.

        Thanks for the help
