    Ir3045 printing setting

    Hi Tech,

My machine is kind of funny. When i do the copy, everything is fine. But when i do the printing from Document with margine top-1inch, bottom-1inch and font size 12. The printed result will auto change font size to 11, top and bottom to 1.5 inche.
Anywhere should i look into on the machine?

Print regular office documents and see if everything is OK. You could blame documents or software. Reinstall driver, maybe a windows driver or wrong driver is being used.

Your machine isn't kind of funny at all. The machine itself cannot do the things you are saying on it's own.
More than likely you have scale to fit ticked in a box somewhere, and your paper size is set to 11"X7" (or whatever the size is) instead of A4. so the machine is shrinking the A4 image to fit in the 11"X7" space which why it appears to be increasing you margin and shrinking your text.

When i print, there is a box comes out and ask me to choose the paper size. So at there i chosen a4 size for paper and one sided. I think that is all i did when i print from my hp laserjet printer.

Funny, I just solved this problem with a new driver install one work day ago. Margins were off and he was printing pictures. No problem with new driver.

Foremost, you need to know the original size of your document. In a printshop environment, you will always need to check this, because docs will come from different authors, some prefer LETTER size to A4, to some is vice versa and some won't care what to choose.

Secondly, it matters to know the difference of printing among certain applications.

Now assuming you are printing from Word, find an example from attachment,

            sample.pdf

In this case, original page size is LETTER, hence
            (a) If the paper size in the printer tray is also LETTER, just leave the driver to 'Match the Page size' in the Output size dialogue box in 'properties'. No margin changes!
            (b) IF the paper size in the printer tray is A4, select A4 in 'Output size' dialogue box. Margins may change.

In order to maintain margins in case b, change the page size in Word to A4, verify margins, save changes and then print in A4.
