imagePress C1 - Streaks in Images

    Hey there.

After changing 2 devs including fillings (C and M) and performing INISET for both colours, the machine produces streaks in all colours. Streaks are in printing direction. See pics attached.
    PG10 looks absolutely normal.

Performed all cleaning options in sm - no change.
Used a custom paper size as the paper is then not passing the duplex unit - same result.

Any help would be much apreciated.

Make a force stop and check print quality before fuser!

Did you replace whole developer unit or just developer(powder)

    Perform:

Auto Gradation Correction. Execute auto gradation correction
(full adjust) according to the instruction on the display.

If the Developer Tank (containing Developer) is replaced, the procedure below should NOT be followed, as the Developer is aged in the factory

Service Mode: COPIER >FUNCTION > INSTALL > AINR-OFF; then, enter '1' and press the OK key.

    Y developing assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-Y
    M developing assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-M
    C developing assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-C
Bk developing assembly: COPIER > FUNCTION > INSTALL > INISET-K

Make sure the end portion(s) (rear/front) of Mylar (A) has not come off post duct in P-kit assembly
lines (smeared image) [C] will occurr in the main scanning direction (the paper-feeding direction [B]).
the adhesion of bonding material that is applied to the post duct was improved.
Replace the post duct with a new one.

        Thanks guys.

Did not do anything to the drum/mylar film, but i will check that if nothing else helps. In my experience the problems coming from the mylar look different. Also the smears from transfer cleaning are different. Here it is really the definite colour smearing, not waste toner from cleaning units.

It went a little better after performing gradation adjustment, as the colours went a little lighter.
It is also better or nearly gone on very thin 80gsm paper.

So i assume it might be a fusing problem?

I would suspect the plastic spatter shield on one of the developer units is deformed causing it to drag on the drum as it goes around - I would also force stop and pull the drum unit and inspect the image as well as looking at the itb to narrow down where the dragging is occuring - still would start with the developers - does it occur when you make a single color print? maybe that would help narrow down if it was a single developer or further along in the process

            plastic spatter shields: check.
            mylar on drum: check.

everything is fine there. will do some more testing tomorrow.
any more tips are very welcome.

                Good morning all helplings.

After some other tests, i switched the transfer unit from another machine and the problem is gone.

Now there are two more issues to solve:

                1. Offset in colours C and M. See pic 1

Q: is there an automatic registration procedure i could perform?

                2. A little spot pressed into the paper. See pic 2. Intervall is 218 mm.
-> Spot is not there when not passing the paper thru the duplex unit by using a custom paper size.

Q: Any tips where to look at - which roller? Never worked on the duplex unit...

Thanks in advance for any tips.
