Canon ir 3245i toner issue

Hi.
Customer replaced toner and now when locking toner bottle in with lever,the bottle does not stay engage with toner motor,If I bypass door and run machine I can push the toner bottle in and if I get right position it will spin for a moment .When I turn lever to lock position If I push toner bottle at same time I can turn lever to right,but it really dosnt lock in and toner bottle is loose.I imagine this might be fairly common with this type of system.

Was at customer today ,I dont really see anything obvious .Am I better replacing hopper assembly ,Is this fairl;y common on these type of toner systems.

1 check the lever by removing it to see if it is in lock position.
2 Check the cams
3 Lubricate the moving section at rear side of the hopper.

you are going to find a broken gear that is attached to the locking shaft ,it breaks where the roll pin holds the gear to the shaft,

Hi

THANKS as always for help.I ended up replacing hopper assembly with one that uses thew GPR 15 toner(as opposed to GPR16)Customer just has to order 15 instead.
