    Canon IR2270 prints with center faded or blank

    the Canon IR 2270 Printer began slowly fading text in the middle of the page, and now it is completely blank in the center. Tried changing the toner, but it did not have any effect. Whether copying or printing the center is blank. (sample attached)

    Any thoughts on what this could be?

      always in same spot ? / or does it move ?

      Laser Shutter not operating correctly.


      To check the Laser Shutter, first remove the Left Middle Panel.Open and close the right door while looking at the bottom of the laser where the shutter is located. You should see the shutter move from front to rear. If the shutter is not moving, check to see if it is out of place or that the shutter cable is working correctly. *Below is a view from the left side of the machine looking under the Laser Assy. The Left Middle Panel, Fax Kit, and frame cross-member have been removed.



      Try re-seating the Flexible Flat Cable (FH2-7174-000) at the Reader Controller PCB and Contact Image Sensor Unit (CIS).
      The cable plugs into connector J510 on the Reader Controller PCB. The following image from the Parts Catalog shows the cable.

          Could be developer magnet if spot move.Hoew many print's have machine?

              The spot does not move - it is always in the same place. Does that mean I should still try your instructions?
