check the fuser drive assy. sounds like bad bearings etc. is it binding. A load on the fuser driver drive can make the power drop off for an instant and cause the 733 error. Since you are having jams there, good idea to remove and inspect the bushings and bearings. A good sign is the bearing or bushing dust it leaves on the frame. Could even be a gear at the fixing drive or motor itself or power to it from the frame connector. make sure all is ok. other things to look for is how is the arcnet connectors? or how about wrong size paper in the side paper deck and size is not selected correctly. look at the paper select picture, are the sizes shown in the drawers and deck what is actually in there? sounds to me you have two problems all caused by one problem.

      Hey yourownfree,
i checked every thing you told me ,
every thing is looking good on this copier . it is allmost new its has made only 4265 copies.
i installed this copier one month ago
firstover its has e 840 code error and i failed to remove it from the service mode,
so i removed the cmos battery from the motherboard and logic pcb card, and the code error was cleared but .so since i have done this, the copier cannot make one copie.
when i do one its jammed from the fuser assy
and when i do two or more is fine there is no jam.
      thanks for your ideas.

Well now. let me research........ ok looks like there could be paper, a small piece in the fixing frame to copier connector. Sometimes you cant see it because it is so small and the color of toner or grease and not white. So check the connector on both sides copier and fixing frame to see if it is ok. next fix was someone found connector on relay pcb j7101 and j7104 not seated good enough. Also the fixing inlet sensor or what the machine thought was the fixing inlet sensor was at fault, which led me to the connector at the fixing frame, it looks like fixing motor driver pcb by the waste toner bottle fixed an e 840 problem. PCB number FM2-5065. I dont know what else could have happened by removing the battery. I think you might nee to clear the dccon and re-input values because now they might be weird. You said motherboard, but actually there is a main controller board more like a motherboard and then there is a dc-controller board which turns things on and off and takes in inputs from sensors etc. and then sends the info to the main controller the board inside the cage.
Lets start with the above items first then move on to the next choice i guess. maybe someone else will have an idea to help as well. I dont think pulling the battery was a good choice. We usually clear a problem from service mode, or it clears itself after it is fixed. So the machine will let you know if its not fixed or not. Sounds like the inlet sensor might need looked at too, the one at the fixing assy. Which of the boards did you pull the battery from? Just checking back with you also, did you see if the paper drawers and deck all read the exact size paper that is in them when you look at the display? I suspect pulling the battery, might have lost some settings.

I have to tell you, I have never removed a battery from a Canon copier to try and fix a problem. With Canon you need to fix the problem and then it will clear, except for codes that are more serious like e005, and e000, which you need to clear the err after you have fixed the problem. The information i gave you was pretty much exactly what Canon says to do first. I have had a problem once or so and found a really small piece of paper in one of the connectors in the fixing feeder frame. I had to pull it off to see it. But I see you cant do much without a manual, because you will not be able to find connectors, or know how to clear an error etc. Have you ever worked on Canon copiers before?
