Hello all, Canon newb/Ricoh old-timer needing some Canon expert help with a relatively new iR3025. It is actually two machines exhibiting the exact same problem from 2 seperate locations in the same building. The building is a cancer center that houses the MRI and other such devices used for medical reasons. This is what I believe to be the problem, said devices creating issues on the line. What is truly strange is that the previous machines, placed in the same locations, were iR3570's. They did not exhibit these issues at all. Now for a description of the problems themselves:
This morning I had the customer describe and then recreate the problem. If they send a fax from either machine to another fax machine off site it occurs. The receiving fax gets the document but it has been enlarged as much as 400%. Picture a capital letter A in the center of the original. The rec'd image would only have the left most down stroke of the A visible as it was blown up and off the page. The receiving machine is the only one that does this and is located at another hospitals radiology dept. No other fax in the building (several) or any other fax in any other part of the campus have this occur when sending a fax to the other hospitals radiology dept. The radiology dept does not receive images of this sort from any other sender, only from the two in the Cancer Center and only after the machines were upgraded.
I had talked to a Canon tech in our office and he had me set some changes to the NL Equalizer and Attenuation. After rebooting the machines they continued to display the same problem.
Any hints, help, or assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've not had any luck finding a manual for servicing the fax unit, but honestly I haven't tried looking for it. The Canon knowledgebase was also completely unhelpful but I believe that is because this issue is truly unique.
Thanks for any assistance in advance!
Pete
