Canon irc5180 wide yellow line

    Canon irc5180 wide yellow line

    Im facing a werid wide line on irc5180,i have checked the transfer belt roller and i also replaced the yellow drum with a used 1 17% life ,the wide line appear on test 5 only in yellow and also when trying to print or copy an a3 document ,i debout in laser cos betwen the wide line on left and right some white lines.ill post a pic ,thanks for the help .

    also will be thankfull if some one found a solution for the background drums when it counters less then 50%

    Like I keep saying, Drum %counters have nothing to do with background.
    It's all about the % of Toner Coverage (usage) on the paper.
    This is a Printer\Copier & not a Printing Press.

    Canon test their printers at 5% text coverage of letter size.
    Salespeople & Customers think these printers can print massive amounts of Color on a page.
    NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Now on the line issue, just go in and temporarily swap yellow laser with another color for testing.

    ?_ does line issue move down paper on testing.
    **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

      thanks teckat my provblem is solved by cleaning the laser from toner dust and everything is perfect now
