    Canon IR advance 6055 e-025-1

    Hi Folks,
    I have cust. that had toner bottle stuck, and couldnt turn lever to release the bottle. I was able to removve the toner container, but keep getting e-25-1, so I removed buffer unit and vacuumed for any clogged toner, gears all turn fine. the top set of gears turn, so I did a toner add thru service mode"install", it came up "NG", it will run,but ends up with code. Is the toner bottle suppose to actually spin when its trying to add toner?..this doesnt happen here, otherwisee how does toner actually get thru toner bottle to release toner? I couldnt figure out how toner gets released....?any help with prob. greatly appreciated, Im a little lost...

      Check your Pico Fuse FU14 On Main Driver Pcb, [ [ M28 Toner Feed Motor ].

          Yes, the toner bottle spins. On the older series the motor would short, blowing fuse on board (looks like a small resistor). On this series people force the handle breaking a gear. It is easier to replace entire bottle assembly. The fuse can be replaced but if the motor is shorted it will be again. We used to replace both but that was on thr 5xxx older series. I have only a half a dozen or so. I try and ask the customer to push on end of bottle to help with the weight of the large toner bottle. Sounds like you have a broken gear ( hard to turn handle)

              to add comment to my problem, after I was able to remove toner bottle, I can now turn toner release lever o.k. , can I guess theres a gear assem. behind the black cover(where the toner bottle is inserted,would anyone know the part number for that asssem. As I mentioned the upper motor,top right, does spin, but the bottle doesnt turn, I look inside , and see a cogged type, that would turn the bottle, so I dont see that cogged gear turning....? the machine will let you run copies, but will go back into the e-code.I really appreciate all and help !!

                  you have a damaged gear.
                  the whole deal has been modified, change all parts together
