iRADV 400 Network error after downgrading

    Hello

I have a problem with 2 brand new Canon iRADV400.

My colleague wanted to install the local language (HU), but he had it only for the 7.01 version.
He downgraded from 23.01 to 7.01
Now the machines bult in network card can't communicate.
I can't start download mode, (with 2-8, and from service mode too).
    400i.jpg
Therefore I cant upgrade to 23.01 via SST, or pendrive.

I red the service buletin to not to downgrade, but its too late.

Have anyone got an idea, repairing, istead of buying 2 piece Mncon1 board?

    Don't' think u can recover

Release of System Software Package v23.01.01
    10-21-15

Due to a New Type Main Controller PCB 1, it is not recommended to downgrade the System Software to
v7.04.01 or earlier. Doing so will hinder network capabilities.

    LIMITATIONS:
Settings/Registration > Network > SNMP Settings > Reject SNMP Packets While in Sleep Mode [ON/OFF]

When installing a printer driver from Win8/Server 2012 and turning ON "SNMP
Status Enabled" (OFF as a default value) in the port setting, a device cannot return a proxy response and SNMP packets are transmitted.
    <Limitation>
When turning ON this user mode, the device does not respond to SNMP packets while it is in deep sleep mode. Therefore, in-house or outside management software using
SNMP including iWEMC may not operate correctly.
[Limitation for combinations of new type main controller PCB assembly (1) with MNCONT version]

Network related parts used in the Main Controller PCB assembly (1) have been changed because of parts supply reasons.
A label [with a part number: FM0-xxxx (001) (refer to 2) described below)] is attached to the new type Main Controller PCB assembly (1). Be sure to use system firmware
MN-CONT Ver.08.01 and later for a machine with which the PCB is equipped.

If an old version of system software MN-CONT Ver.07.04 or earlier is installed in a machine in which a new type Main Controller PCB assembly (1) is installed, network
    functions are unavailable.

The current Main Controller PCB assembly (1) (FMx-xxxx) will continue to be supplied as a service part. [* Refer to 1]
    [*1]
    FM1-C272-000 iR-ADV 500 Series
    FM1-C271-000 iR-ADV 400 Series
*The new type Main Controller PCB assembly (1) is not set as a service part.

[How to distinguish the old and new main controller PCB assembly (1)]

The old and new Main Controller PCB assembly (1) can be distinguished as follows:
    1. Press the Counter Check Key on the LUI to check the Main Board Version on the Check Device Configuration Screen. For new type: "9 and later"
    2. Check the part number label attached to the Main Controller PCB assembly (1).
For new type: FM0-xxxx (001) is printed.
    Example: FM0-0311(001)
    (001) is printed on the new type, whereas (001) is not printed on the current type.
In addition, printing of the part number varies depending on the type (model) of
    the board.

        Hi Teckat,

        I recovered the machine.

        The method:

First you have to find an other Canon iRADV400i for DONOR, which Main Controller version maximum "8" (Press the Counter Check Key on the LUI to check the Main Board Version on the Check Device Configuration Screen. For old type: "8 or less").

Remove the flash PCB from the faulty machine, and place it to the DONOR machine.

Insert an USB memory stick with the newest firmware to the donor machine.

Turn on the donor machine while pressing 2 and 8 at the same time.

Upgrade the firmware from the stick. (The old fw on an old MNcon can control the network function)

After upgrade the machine will start with error code (because of serial number mismatch of Flash PCB).

        Shut down.

Take back the own Flash PCB into the faulty machine, start with 2-8, upgrade from usb stick.....machine should work again.

If you aren't able to find Donor, you have to order a new Flash PCB.

This is a secure part, you can order it to your serial number, with the permission of your local Canon head office.

          Good Information.

Possible to use a Showroom printer for this, or a shop printer.
