ImagePress C1 - magenta background

Hey guys...

after my boss switched off the C1 without shutting down, all prints that come via the RIP (T1) have magenta background all over.

I siwtched the RIP to a different T1, but the problem persits...

List prints from the sm look ok.

Ideas?

1. Remove and re_seat the
Video Interface pcb in C1 Printer

2. Then Try a Shading Correction
On newer Fiery controllers the Shading Correction option is found in a different CWS location.

On previous EFI controllers the Shading Correction option appears in CWS as a selectable tab in the Calibrator as seen below:






On newer EFI controllers the Shading Correction option is now selectable in the 'Calibrate for' drop down menu in the CWS Calibrator as seen below:




3. Then Go in and remove Rip Calibration on control panel in Network Settings/ then calibrate RIP

Thanks Teckat.

I solved it by resetting the DC PCB and entering the values from the "birth certificate".
Set the Rip back to factory settings and recallibrated.

Now i am getting E061-0009 & E61-0007 when trying to adjust gradations.

Did a DRM-Reset, then tried to perform the Offset adjustment for the drum which gives the E61-0007 imediately.

The service manual gives no remedy for the E61's..all written there is "Switch Main Power off- then on again" - thanks for nothing.


Any hints?

Ok, so i solved the E61's.

It was a broken cable to the potential-sensor of the image drum.

I replaced it, and now, the overall density dropped...



Changed the HV cable above the main corona, did not change anything.
Did DRM-RST and DPC and OFST...no change.
Then changed drum potential sensor, with cables and potential sensor board...no change.
Even after performing DRM-RST and DPC and OFST again.

I am loosing it here.

Replacing the Potential Sensor
Check to see that potential sensor is attached in an appropriate direction to the electrode for checking the potential sensor.
Guess u followed the FULL replacing procedure

check your Grid Plate on Primary

Developing Bias Control
The developing bias is created to apply toner on the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photosensitive drum.
The developing bias provides two types of biases (developing DC bias and developing AC bias).
These biases are created in the high voltage PCB based on an instruction from the DC controller, and applied to the developing cylinder at a specified timing.
The developing DC bias value is determined based on the result of electric potential control.

Check Cable Assembly --Part Number is FM2-7291-000.
The part is located on Figure 105 in the Parts Catalog; Internal Components 4.


Also Check---Developing BIAS Input Assembly resides on the front plate of the P-Kit.
When the Developer Units rotate and are positioned for development, the BIAS tab rubs against the Developing BIAS Input Assembly to receive the developing BIAS.



measured data of the surface potential can be checked with DISPLAY > DPOT after executing the service mode (FUNCTION >DPC > DPC).
Turn OFF/ON the main power
The target values in the field are indicated below.

C1 is a pure evil!
