I have a C3480 in the field with a broken wire on the harness that plugs into the control panel. I have a parts machine that is pretty bare so I took the harness off of it. In doing so, I just had to remove the screws on the right side (if facing the copier) that affix the reader unit to the frame of the copier and it simply lifted up and exposed the harness that leads to the back of the copier. Of course when the tech has to replace this at the customers office, it will be more involved. Is there anything he has to be careful of when lifting that reader unit to get to the harness or should it simply go back into place and screw back on?
