ir1600 "set document again"

i get this message in ir1600 when i make copy (press start key)from dadf.

Try checking the position of the pick up roller assy on the ADF, it should be in the up position prior to the document being fed. If it is down the machine thinks the document should be being fed but the sensor dont detect anything moving giving the impression there is a mis-feed.

The cause of this is usally a clutch at the end of the arm the assy sits on not doing its job, you can either give it a good clening and adjust as req which usually works ok but if it continues you should look at replacing.

Unfortunatly I don't have the parts catalogue with me so if someone else could post it or I will check back tomorrow with the part number.
