[Jamming] X-1 DADF not feeding

I have Canon IRA c5030 with X-1 DADF. The feeder fails to pull documents unless I apply pressure to the adf cover. With pressure applied it feeds every time.
If I turn the white gear at the rear of the adf it feels somewhat stiffer than the one on another c5030. I suspect a rusty clutch. But I haven't been able to find a service manual or part numbers for the X-1 DADF.
I have found U-1, W-1 and many others. Are the repair parts for any of these the same as what is used on the X-1?
Also, I haven't found any info on how to open up the cover to replace the parts. I see a couple of claws but I know there must be more.

Hi,
Nope not got any info on a DADF with product code X-1. Mine stops at U-1 then goes on to AA1.
Listed for the 50xx series DADF i have DX Colour Image Reader A1/B1/C1

Main listed parts are P/U Roller, Sep Roller, Feed Roller.
I am assuming you've tried replacing those.

Yep found it. Here's your problem
Canon using product codes on the machines that have no relevance to the service manuals

yep the tag will say x1 and the documentation says B1. the 5030 has the reversing adf versus the one path on the 5045-5051. the manual for it is in the service manual for the machine and the parts are listed in the parts manual for the machine.
