    No Magenta AdvC5035

I have an AdvC5035 in the field that just stopped printing Magenta, even on the Gradation Adjustment Test Page. Could this be the Drum Developing Drive Assembly? or any other ideas?

This is most likely a worn out developer coupling on the magenta developer. Remove the magenta drum and developer assembly and inspect the black t-shaped coupling that drives the developer assy. It is likely spinning on the shaft (metal shaft is a "D" shape and the plastic on the coupling rounds out). There is a new style white coupling with a pin to lock it on the shaft (sorry don't have part number)

If that is not the problem, Inspect the drive gear assy on the front of the magenta dev for slippage/breakage.

    Hope this Helps,

My money is on the drive assembly.
Tiny plastic bushes in there wear like you wouldn't believe.
Not as difficult to change as you might think.

I agree, it's probably a broken drive coupling. I had the same thing happen recently on a 5030 cyan developer. If you find that the coupling is indeed broken you can order the new white ones from various vendors. Be sure to order the pins, too! They are sold separately. The new coupling is FC0-3696-000. The pin is XD9-0289-000.
While you're at it I suggest that you replace the drive coupling on the other 3 developers as well.

I agree it is most likely the coupling on the back of the developer. It could also be the drive coupling as the pin wears through and comes out. I have replaced two with out taking out the drive unit. This tech pub shows the parts.
