    anonImgerunner400 IF Fax Memory

Hi Guys, I have a customer that wants add fax memory to their new canon IR400IF...They say that because when they dial the fax number from their office, it has a busy signal.
Is this the problem , or if you dial the fax number from their office will it always have a busy signal?
I sure like like some input on this matter.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Doug

Troubleshoot the line first, try calling it, try calling out from it. I've never had to add memory for a fax issue myself, 99.9% it's the line itself. I usually try calling my cell from the device and vice versa, I also carry a phone to test the line further.

The last guy was exactly correct. Also make sure the fax line from the wall outlet is plugged into "line". This model usually has plugs over the phone connectors but they can be pulled out. If they dial the fax number from their office have them unplug the fax cord from the copier. If they still get a busy signal it is in their phone system. I trouble shoot fax issues just like the last response. You only add memory if you have more fax pages than the copier can hold to fax.
