    Hi blackcopy,

Need a little more information before we can help you. What model IR are you refering to? Are you getting an error code? If so, what? What makes you say the HDD is broken? What does the screen on the copier say?

Thanks n2b, that is very interesting.
Could you now try a little experiment, please?
Switch on the printer with the new cartridges.
Start the reset tool. See if it runs (you should be able to read the ink levels and print a test page).
If that is ok, leave it running and re-install your old cartridges.
Now see if you can perform a reset.
You could also try only changing one cartridge at a time, because it may be that only one of them has been 'switched off'.
Let us know how you get on.

        Amuba,

I'm a bit confused. What you've posted about has nothing to do with what I replied with about a broken HDD. Have you repplied to the wrong post?
