If the lease company did a hard drive format using the HDD erase kit B-2, is there a way to revive the disk with the boot sector using the B-2 kit? (Then I would load system software using the Canon SST).

Erase KIT removes Data and not operation system firmware.
HDD Data Erase Kit-B2 cannot be removed from the imageRUNNER once installed.

When installing the HDD Data Erase Kit-B2, please note that you must first install the System Software version 80.02 that is included in the box. This kit will only operate with version 80.02 System Software and as such it is imperative that this System Software be installed first.

FYI...3245 HDD comes pre-formatted from Canon. If you install it in copier then format it before writing software to it, it wont work. Order another one...lolComment
