    [Error Code] canon ir6800 e079-0001/2

    Hi, all. I am having problem with my canon ir6800. the machine got stucked during the power on, and the code e079-0001, e079-0002 appeared. I checked all the connector, nothing gone wrong. I tried to clearing the error, but no luck.
    Anyone experienced this before? What should I do to correct the error?

      E079 (0002) Machine will not recognise the home position of the external heater roller on the fixing ass'y.There is an open circuit, no Ground to the home position sensor, caused by damage to the drawer connector on the rear of the fixing/Feeder Frame ass'y.Repair / Replace Drawer Connector ( fig 320 item 53 FM2-0984-000

          after I opened the fixing unit, I found out the cleaning roller retaining pad worn out. Did this situation affect the error e079-0001?pad.jpg

              Title : E079 with detail code of 0001 after a complete fixing assembly is replaced. Problem :
              The machine's display panel will have a constant E079 with a detail code of 0001
              right after the fixing assembly is replaced. The error code will still be displayed even
              after turning the machine off and on again.
              Solution :
              The E079 error code indicates the home position of the outside heating roller
              (engagement) home position sensor does not get detected. The outside heating roller
              (engagement) home position sensor does not go off.
              The detail code 0001 indicates the home position sensor does not go on within 5
              seconds after the start of the home position search.
              The error code does not reset after the machine's power is turned off and on again.
              Check the position of the outside heating roller home position sensor's (PS22) flag.
              The flag can easily be moved out of position or broken during transport.
              Note: the parts manual refers to the outside heating roller home position sensor as
              PS66 rather than PS22. (See figure 810 page 2-156)
