Normally image adjustment procedures would fix the issue.

Did you try to : calibrate (full) also color mismatch ?

How many prints have fuser?

There is a lot of bad toner out there. Make sure it is Canon toner. I had toner bought from somewhere else that looked like it was in a canon box but on closer inspection of the box the small canon sticker was different. They made the box very well but would not fuse properly.

Does the same thing happen with color as well, or only black? I'd check the fuser first if it does that on all colors.

Are scans also fuzzy or does this just affect prints?
