IR3245 paper weight

Letterhead is offsetting. So I go into Custom settings/paper settings and highlight tray 2. If it is set on plain. Transparentcy can be highlighted, but when any heavy type paper is selected the OK gets grayed out. I want to set it so the fuser is hotter or slower by choosing heavy paper. Any thoughts why it will not allow me to do this?

Some copiers don't support heavy paper through the cassettes. Only bypass. Try the bypass. When you go to paper type and you can not select it, it is not supported. You may have to turn heat up for regular paper in service mode.

Cassette: 64 to 90g/m2 = 17 to 24 lbs.
Bypass: 64 to 128g/m2 = 17 to 32 lbs.
