    CANON MX926 Error B200

I have an MX926 land on w/s bench with a B200 code on the display.
"Turn off machine and call the service repair agent etc etc"...

I don't have an e-manual for this machine.

I believe it might be the print head jambing... A quick play around confirmed that I can't get full travel out of the print head.
I'm not sure the machine is even worth fixing. I'm inclined to write it off for used parts.

Anyone want any used parts from the above machine? Send me a PM.

    tnx

    1. Open the cover of the printer.
    2. Remove all ink tanks from the printer.
    3. Lift up the gray locking lever on the side of the ink tank holder.
    4. Gently remove the print head from the carriage unit.
    5. Place the print head back in and lock the lever down.
    6. Place all of the ink tanks back in the printer.
    7. Close the cover and turn the printer off.
    8. Unplug the power from the printer. Leave the power unplugged for about 5-10 minutes.
    9. Plug the power back in and turn the printer on.

      Update...
Could not resolve the issue. The scan motor metal casing gives off electrical current when touched.
I've since placed the machine in the care of the surplus-to-requirements containment department, awaiting executive decision to close the case (AKA the lid of the rubbish bin) .

It's not worth fixing, unless your labor rate is $25 per hour. Googled it and they sell for $159.

In this case its a MG8120, I'm seeing them for $180 - $200 or so. Not sure if the error code is the same as the model in this
discussion, I am guessing its the same. Client says its about 7 yrs old, looks like its been kept in really decent shape, hate to think
its beyond repair, but I guess if its the print head, I have seen that part go for some outrageous costs when I use to service Brother stuff.

If you could talk to Canon tech support, they would tell you it's either the print head or the board. That's what they always told us. We stopped servicing the ink jet printers, there's no money in it. Between Canon and Brother I get at least one call a day for ink jet and I tell them get a new one. Some Brother printers cost $59 and I tell them it cost you $59 just to talk to me.
