[Jamming] IR5070 Jamming on Startup

I have acquired a IR5070 that is jamming on startup. First off, let me thank you guys for being an awesome resource for information, as usually when I run into problems I can search the forum and find what i'm looking for but I have not found exactly whats going on with this one. The previous owner of the machine tried bending a metal tab and it's attached to some form of registration sensor I believe. I have included pictures of it, I'm wondering what part it is, as I can't really find it in the diagrams. I've also included pictures of where it goes on the machine. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated. I've also Included screenshots of the error screens and the jam log from service mode.

It isn't a Ir 5070, it looks like a different series altogether. The metal tab is a cover for the paper path sensor leaving the top cassette, if the sensor arm is still there, which I can't tell from the photo as it's blurry, it should work without the metal cover. Your jam codes indicate tray 1 pick up jam. Can't say what exactly is causing the jam, some of these models had issues and modifications done, as well as parts that wear down.

After looking again, I believe the sensor arm is missing, if that's the case, the top pick up assembly will need to have the arm replaced and installed, at the very least..

That is what I thought. An image runner but different that IR5070. Tech is correct. Looks like you have broken or missing flag, old style door with the foam strip. Those machines were jam nightmares until you put in updated parts. Looks like upper vertical transport rollers are new kind. The lower black ones work ok if you clean them a lot. New style lower doors help a lot. You can swap those paper feed units if you swap the right bracket and guides.

Registration Sensor Flag missing FL3-8032-000


Upgrade machine with this shit:

FM2-0132-000:Right Lower Inner Door Assembly
FM3-1296-000:Right Lower Door Assembly
FB6-4852-000:VERTICAL PATH ROLLER

And of course keep pickup rollers in good condition.
