You may be able to transfer one from one machine to another but I think you have to be a Canon dealer to do this. Either by phone or at the Canon website. New would be your best bet. You would be very lucky for someone to do this for you.

Your welcome. I guess you know "used" has been assigned to a machine serial number and can not be put in another machine. I am thinking about a license.
in order to transfer a Canon license from one machine to another you need be a Canon dealer, have the original license certificate or key (set of numbers) generate a transfer code on the original machine, call canon with these and they in turn generate a new license key. your best bet is if you can find a new one, which may be difficult due to the age of the equipment. good luck.

As I recall, you also need to provide the serial number of the new machine when you call in to get it transferred.
As mentioned, based on the age of this beast, you'd be very lucky to find a new one.
