Anyone seen totally black pages from an iR1023. Prints and copies are both totally black. Any ideas?

only thing I found on this is check cable for the lazer ..reconnect both end or it could be the lazer itselfor the image processor

Black Copies

Problem :
After performing an All Clear, copies from ADF became very dark, but copies from glass had no problems.

Solution :

After doing an All Clear, Shading adjustment must be performed.

Enter service mode

1. Additional Funtions, followed by 2 key then 8 key then additional funtion again
2. Press the errow key until test mode is displayed.
3. With TEST MODE on display press OK
4. Then press 2 key to display SCAN TEST
5. Press the 1 key to display SHADING
6. Press OK

I had those symptoms on an iR1022 (similar machine) and cleared the fault by replacing the DC Controller.

i've also had this problem when the charge corona was dirty...just cleaned it with alcohol and the problem went away
