Canon IR3035:
How can I tell if the Universal Send Kit is installed registered?
How can I set the default send file type to PDF, not TIFF?

any help on how to do this via control pannel or UI would be great.

Once the UNIVERSAL SEND key is registered in the machine,a Tab is added to the main LCD display SEND...it's between COPY and MAILBOX.
You can set up default send types for each address in the mailbox and/or address book...i.e. send as PDF to Fred Smith and send as .tiff or .jpeg to Harry Bloggs.
You can do it at the machine under send settings in Additional Functions but I don't think you can do it via RUI.

Sorry to hear that you bought the same piece of crab I did.
The software for this machine is hopeless.
Contacting canon is impossible. they have refuse to acknowledge that their
software - the RUI especially is grossly inadequate and incomplete.
The response I got from canon was that they have a product that sells in their opinion and they won't change a thing to improve it!


Simple example. Multiple delete for incoming fax is not possible although the
interface allows you to click on check boxes to indicate multiple selection.

This is just one of the many problems I have.

I will never buy another canon copier ever!!!!
