[Misc] iR C4580 DADF T1 Feeder Problem

Hello my friends:

I have a Canon iRC 4580 machine with this feeder problem:

After placing the paper into de feeder and press the star button, the machine stays "scanning" for a long time and nothing happends. It does not show any error code or jam error. I have to turn off the machine in order to use it again. Copying from the glass works fine.

I just clean all the sensors, performed the SENS-INIT and update the firmware but the problem continues.

Any suggestions?

"The feeder should be inspected. Please contact your service representative."

Paper does not feed to glass with this DADF-TI (has CIS)

--Is doc set light on in DF when u place paper ( Original placement indication)
When an original is placed on the tray, the detecting lever operates in conjunction with the light-blocking plate, during which the light-blocking plate blocks the
light of the photo interrupter. As a result, the original detection sensor (PI5) generates the original detection signal (EMP_S), which will cause the DADF controller
PCB to turn on the original placement indicator.

Is CIS Xenon lamp on when u press START

--Are u getting paper pick up



DADF controller drives M6 when necessary and moves the CIS glass. By executing such procedure, the DADF controller compares reflection data of the standard white plate
position with that of the image scanning position.

[1] Check M6 in PART CHECK> MTR-CHK> 5 for operation and verify the connection of
J214 on ADF Driver PCB (PCB7).
[2] Check for PI13 sensor state in service mode FEEDER>I/O > P006 - 6 (0:HP) and verify
the connection of J412 on ADF Controller PCB (PCB1).

PI13 - CIS glass moving HP Sensor WG8-5593-000
M6 - CIS glass moving motor FK2-3715-000
PCB1 - ADF controller PCB FM3-0369-000
NOTE: Before you replacing the ADF Controller PCB (PCB1), print a P_PRINT and see the description given under "After Replacing the ADF Controller PCB" on the host machine
service manual.

One pass feeder I believe...probably 0094 codes. Yuck..Clean transmitters and receivers, make sure prisms are clean and mounted properly. Check their analog values in service mode..
