    [Misc] iPF8400s printing too slow compared to iPF785.

    Hello fellow techs,

    I am looking for help with the speed of this brand-new iPF8400s Wide Format printer, installed just last week.

    The customer is printing architectural drawings sent to them in PDF format (mostly 24"x36", black-n-white).

    However, printing is taking about two minutes per page (black-n-white, 300-dpi). This means that a 30-page document will take about one hour to print.

    He claims that the iPF785 can do the same job in about half the time and wants me to replace the machine.

    Is there a way to speed up the iPF8400s to that level?

    Please reply ASAP.

    Thanks.

    It is like saying that the "tractor" is slower than a "motor bike".

    Of course it is like that.

    The ipf8400s will never be faster than ipf785.

    As the 785 will never be that "qualitative" as the iPF8400s.

      ================================================== ======================

      iPF785 device is capable of producing an Arch D (24" x 36") print in up to 21 seconds using Economy mode, and an Arch E (33.1" x 46.8") print in up to 41 seconds!
