The scanner on this copier hits the rail as it moves back towards the home position sensor. Normal operation would have the scanner lower a bit to go under the metal bracket but this one is not lowering, it makes a really loud vibrating sound then throws the error E202-0001.

CIS unit HP detection error
The HP sensor fails to be ON after the CIS unit moves backward for a specific distance or more.

Disconnect and then connect the connector, Replace the scanner HP sensor__then check
Replace the scanner motor__then check
Replace the reader controller PCB___last resort.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
