    Code: E020-0000
    Code E020-0000
Description The hopper connector is left disconnected. The hopper motor (M9/M10) is faulty. The toner sensor (TS1/TS2) is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.
During printing, the toner supply signal is '0' (absence of toner) for 2 mins.
Maybe your answer can be found in this thread ?

The code is in the hopper connector and hopper motor (m9/m10). Toner falls around the motors and shorts them which in turn shorts a fuse in the main controller. I also saw where the hopper connector pins are pushed in or burnt. You can replace the fuses on main controller. I don't know which fuse to check on main controller. Maybe the main controller is bad and that is why the hopper worked on another machine. It has been a long time since I worked on those machines but I think you can watch the motors turn. Part check 5 is for M9 hopper stirring motor. Part motor check 6 is for the hopper supply motor. I read where if the developer gets empty the sensors inside or in hopper could throw that e020 code. I hate it when it could be a half a dozen things but that is our job we chose.

it is the dc con where can we locate the fuses on main controller. can you show the images of those fuses.

        Thanks. may God bless

They look like small light brown resistors. You can put a meter on them and ohm them. I don't remember if that board has a lot or not. They are numbered. Maybe something like fu 107.

              hello, Good day,

i have been searching all parts in the d c controll board of canon IR 5000, I did not found a fuse or symbol FU, or light brown like resistor.
              any idea pls.

this is the dc controller of IR 5000, i can't see any fuse here13166034_1154866621210563_1004266215649058687_n.jpg13239214_1154866637877228_5396503831694343358_n.jpg

Maybe I was thinking about the 5070 series? Used to get E025 codes where the motor blew the fuse. Those boards have a lot of fuses on them. Sorry. Most of my customers have upgraded to the advanced series.

                  thanks.

as of now the status of the machine are running, but the error comes out when the developer got empty.

just hope somebody has an idea.
