Anybody ever have trouble with the led array inside the ADF on IR Advance 6255 series? I get a black line when using the adf only. Cleaned and replaced reader glass in the adf and the scanner glass on the copier. Cleaned the mylars in by the adf reader glass as well as the led strip. Prints and copies off glass are fine

I've also had that, I replaced the scanner unit, FM1-B002. In my case the line was very thick and on the second side of each scan. -

If I get the line on 1 sided, wouldn't it be the scanner in the reader and not the adf? I get a line if I run a 1 sided and if I run a 2 sided I get a line on 1 side, the same side as my 1 sided copy. I know it sounds confusing. But on the other hand if it were the scanner in the reader I should have an issue with copies off the glass and I don'tComment

Sorry, wasn't aware it was first side only. I also had some loose ribbon cables cause some strange faults, perhaps on the reader controller. Does the line change density if you change the settings? I'd suspect the reader scanner unit, or the reader controller in that order. Perhaps a rcon clear will help narrow it down.Comment

It will be on one side whether I do 1 or 2 sided so I suspect it's happening on the 1st side and not the 2nd. Haven't tried a density change or rcon clearComment

I determined it was coming from the CIS. Had cleaned it with no luck. I got a towel down to clean the mirror, reseated the connector and all better. What a load off my mindComment
