    E-0000004-001 on a Canon IR 3100c

    hello there,

    I have a problem with a Canon IR 3100c, it shows an erorr code :
    E-0000004-001

    can somebody help me with this problem?

      yes i am a tehnician, and a customer asked me if i can help him with this problem (the erorr code) . The problem is that i don't have a service manual for this copier, so i'm asking for your support.

        E0004 errors mean that the fixing heater did not reach the target temp in time.
        Check the fuser for flat spots by turning the blue/green delivery guide wheel..you'll feel the flat spots as you rotate the wheel.
        It COULD be dirty thermistors/thermoswitches but in my experience flat spotted UFR will cause this error.
        You can either refurb the fuser...which is quite a job if you've never done it before...or you'll have advise the customer to purchase a complete fuser.
