Canon ipf610 E196-404e , want to try L Printer Tool Version 1.40 to update.

    [Error Code] Canon ipf610 E196-404e , want to try L Printer Tool Version 1.40 to update.

    Ive got a ipf610 and it hasn't been used in a while and now shows error message E196-404e and id like to try and update the firmware to latest (1.42) as its on 1.37 at the moment, I'm hoping this will fix things (fingers crossed)

    I need the L Printer Tool Version 1.4 for mac, but can't find it anywhere online... can anyone help me out?

      Bad news_
      L PRINTER TOOL ver1.40 ,v1.50, & v1.80 do not support MAC.

          Ah so in the scheme of things Im probably better off buying a new one, office works is selling them for 3250$ AUS,
