    IR Advance C5035

Question: I have one that walks the ITB to the front after a few days and of course, throws the code e075-0103. I can't get the value back down even after removing the Unit and walking the ITB back to center. I walk it back to center.....reinstall....run ITB-Init...check the value and it gets to -370 at the best and still visually remains in the center. Am I doing something out of order? We have been trying to level it to stop the walk. It is better, but not exact yet. I have serviced several of these and the rest have a value of closer to "0". Any input appreciated. Maybe some faulty displacement sensor?? It will work ok, but it is back to -498 according to the customer (A friend of mine). So it is probly fixing to trip again.....

And I have read through the forum and read the PDF files concerning E075 and everything looks ok.

    Thanks

There could be many things wrong with that code. I had one the other day (same code I think) that I cleaned the rollers and it came back. My boss let me take another ITB unit and swap it. When I brought it back the inner transport roller ends were worn bad (bearings bad). I also noticed the guide you put the belt in was not there. I am hoping Canon replaces it from a counter measure program. Another tech had a bad inner transfer roller two days later. I am going to post a pdf that shows the guide and improvement kit. If everything else it good you can take the motor off and loosen the two painted screws and move the bracket up or down. I move up for negative number and down for positive. The directions are for 50XX to level copier and 52XX to move bracket. I have read reports of it working on both. There is a post from a few days ago here. Really common error code. So far Canon has made it better but not fixed it. I have not put in an improvement kit but we have one. Same ITB had a collar and plastic C clip missing the first call.

Here is one that shows the inner transfer roller worn. Mine looked exactly like the picture.

Thanks for the replies and info. I'm just wondering why when I center the belt manually, and run itb-init.....The number never gets below -370, even though the belt is still visually in the center. It will eventually walk after a few days and wind up at -498 or so. I just think when it is centered, and actually to the rear of center, it should get closer to "0" in Service mode. I'm trying to figure out where it gets its "number value" from...can't yet find that in the manual. Anyway, I'm gonna swap the entire unit today and then I'll see where the number is after running itb-init...Thanks guys.

When you take the belt off you can see the sensors and cam. Don't the values come from those sensors?

I have not see that before. Did it fix it? The bracket they are talking about adjusting is behind the motor and board on the ITB unit.

That's a carrier (shaft) that keeps belt
I think the device is a not completely flat (little skewed), belt assembly is very soft and therefore this problem.
