Canon C5185 changing ip address

Have a customer that their c5185 is changing IP addresses. The tech looked and DHCP is turned OFF. It has a ImagePass on it. When you change the IP address and restart it, the IP address changes (it will not stay). If you unplug the Ethernet cable and change the IP it will stay until you plug the cable back in. Am at a lost on this one.

Reason is service mode setting (INT-FACE/IMG-CONT). 3
IP is auto config. for rip communicattion.If you set IMG-CONT back to 0 your IP will stay and machine lose connection with rip.
