canon irac7055i

Hi
Hope some one can help with the correct settings
i had a batch of irac7055i's come in with a few seperate w20-01 fierys
all the machines have had the img-cnt and cnt type values set to default
i dont have a manual for this model was hoping someone could help
me with the correct values if i set img-cnt to 3
i get e0677-010 wrong cnt type
i dont often work on canons looking from some guidance from a canon guru

Is it an imagepass A1 or a Colorpass GX300 Fiery. I believe these are the only 2 compatible fiery models

The IMG-CONT setting on the imageRUNNER ADVANCE must be set to 3 first and the printer restarted to confirm the setting is still set to 3 before the imagePASS B1 is attached. If the imagePASS B1 is attached with the IMG-CONT set to 0, there may be issues and you may need to reinstall system software.

To verify or change the setting:
Enter Service Mode, Press Settings/Registration, then 2& 8 simultaneously, then Settings/Registration.
Choose either Mode List or Mode List Classic.
COPIER > OPTION > INT-FACE.
IMG-CONT must to be set to 3.

Its the A1 w20-01 fiery
have followed Teckat's instructions still getting E677=0010
during set up does the fiery match to the machine serial number
ive tried 3 different fiery's with the same error
machine boots up display loads printer icon appears then up pops the error code

If I'm reading the other post right..
I think you need to have img-cont set to 3 and mfd rebooted BEFORE you attach the fiery.

If you attached the fiery and then tried to change the img cont setting after you would get the error code. And need to reinstall the fiery system software?

Yes i have checked that img-cont is set to 3 before attaching fiery
still getting the same error i have used 3 different fierys (same model w20-01) but get the same error
i think all thats left is to try reloading software

now tested all fierys on a different irac7055i all work ok
so im thinking it either a setting or interface problem on the original machine

so far

tested 3 different fierys all give e0677=0010 but work ok when connected to another machine

swapped all cables and interface board still get error

only thing i noticed on the machine that all the fierys work on cnt-type is at 444

on the machine i get the error its at 1
so for some reason the machine is not getting the correct model for the fiery

I would initialize all data on the device that is not recognizing the image pass, it will set the machine back to factory defaults. than follow the steps Teckat described.

on the iRAC7055ithat will not recognize the A1 Fiery, did u check the Printer interior connections for A1 Operations_???

Before you connect the imagePASS-A1 or imagePASS-B1 to the imageRUNNER Advance engine, make sure that the IMG-CONT setting in Service Mode of the imageRUNNER Advance engine is changed to ‘3’
as described in the Installation Procedure.
If this step is skipped and the imageRUNNER Advance IMGCONT setting is still at ‘0’ when you attach the controller the following symptom below will occur and re-installation of System Software is necessary to recover:

Issue:
Powering on the engine with the IMG-CONT=”0” (default setting), the imagePASS-A1/B1 will remain in “waiting a while….”status and will not boot up to idle. This will still occur even if you
change IMG-CONT=”3” and then restart the imageRUNNER Advance.
This issue will occur when the imageRUNNER Advance has IMG-CONT=”0” and the imagePASS-A1/B1 is in one of the following states:
• Out of the box
• After performing “Factory Default”
• After performing re-installation of the System Software.
Resolution:
1. Make sure that the imageRUNNER Advance is at the latest firmware.
2. Change the IMG-CONT to “3” on the engine.
3. Re-install the system software on the imagePASS-A1/B1 controller.
4. Connect the imagePASS A1/B1 to the imageRUNNER Advance Engine and boot.


To restore the imagePASS to factory settings.
Select the [Functions] key.
Next select the [v] down arrow key to scroll to screen 2.
Next select the [Run Setup] key and select the [Yes] key.
There will be some delay before the next screen appears
The Printer Server Status/Settings key will display, select it.
Now login to the device. The password is Fiery.1 with a capital [F] next press the [OK] key.
A new menu appears.
Select the down [v] arrow key to screen 2/2.
Select the [Factory Defaults] key and then select the [Yes] key.
The imagePASS will reboot.

Re-enter the network settings.


CNT-Type refers to the model type EFI Controller and the System Software Version that is loaded on the device.
