    Re: Ir7086 printing pages in disorder

    Devices with embedded Canon print board:
    The newer Canon IP platform embedded controllers are designed to support multiple print job spooling and parallel simultaneous processing of spooled print jobs.
    This could cause printing jobs to be processed out of order.
    Previous imageRUNNER models did not have this high performance feature.

    Parallel processing can be deactivated by the following procedure:

    1. Enter Service Mode Level 2 (see service guide) and select COPIER > OPTION > USER
    2. Select CNCT-RLZ and change value from '0' to '1'.

    * 0 = Parallel Job Processing
    1 = Serial Job Processing
    Note: This issue may appear if replacing an older imageRUNNER with a newer imageRUNNER models in a host printing environment such as AS400, UNIX and mainframe application. This setting is not applicable when device is connected to an imagePASS controller.

    imagePASS and ColorPASS Series:
    This issue occurs because the default setting in the imagePASS or ColorPASS allow simultaneous spooling and processing of job. If in a scenario where an application sends down separate print jobs for each page, or sends many small jobs at one time, which ever print job processes first will print out, regardless of original submission order.

    There are two solutions for this problem:
    1. If printing via. LPR select the hold queue in the port setting of the printing computer. You can Release the job for printing from Command Workstation.

    2. If printing via. the TCP/IP Port (AS400, etc), then set-up the imagePASS to send port 9100 to the Direct Queue. This can be done under Server Setup > Enable Port 9100 > Port 9100 and set Queue: Direct Queue.

    With either solution the imagePASS or ColorPASS will be forced to process jobs in serial order.

    imageRUNNER 7105 / 7086 / 7095 / 7095 Printer
    imagePASS S1 / S2
    :' -( _
    Intermittently, when a Print Job is sent through the imagePASS, pages are missing or out of order.
    Problem :

    Intermittently, when a print job is sent through the imagePASS, pages are missing or out of order. The imagePASS and Copier were flashed to no avail.

    Solution :

    In this case, the memory Dimm on the Main Controller was replaced. Also, an MNCON clear was performed, to resolve this issue. The part numbers are listed below.

    25 FM2-6044-000 1
    DIMM, DDR SDRAM, 1GB OLD TYPE
    25 FM2-6044-000 1
    DIMM, DDR SDRAM, 1GB NEW TYPE

      I had a ir600 doing something like this. I replaced the IP under the glass.
      I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.
