How can connect ir c2380 scanner to my laptop?

Hello,

I have an ir c2380 printer and I want to use it's scanner. I'm able to print with it normally but I don't know how to scan. I downloaded 'WIA Network Scangear' from canon website and discovered the scanner and installed it and tests are running successfully. But I think there's something I need to do at the scanner to connect it to the laptop like adding the laptop name , IP and such which I don't know how to do cause when I got to the scanner and select scan and search for the connected computers in the 'one-touch' menu I don't see my laptop's name in there.. So how can I add it?

Two options, the best one is to use the send feature, you can scan to email or a shared folder, for email the smtp server needs to be configured. For a shared folder, you need to have a user name and password on the laptop. There is a scan feature alone, however it is obsolete, push pull scanning only, and not convient as the send function once it's set up.

Hello,

From the main screen, press the arrow in the top right.

Scan screen comes up

Press 'online' to put your scanner online.

Select import from you application on your laptop, ie Acrabat... follow the instructions..
