E542 0005 05 Title Additional Tray Lift Motor clock error

Etc. E542 points towards problem with tray 2.

E 542 refers to tray position not being recognizied, or not moving. Is this a stand up or inner finisher? Check the sensor flags for each tray if it's a stand up model. The sensor arms sometimes break, though they should be modified to a beefed up arm. If its a inner finisher, you need to lower the tray, as it raises to the very top causing the clicking noise. Both finishers have a release gear on the bottom of the tray at the back.
