The following changes occur when upgrading the HDD of the imageRUNNER 3225/ 3230/ 3235/ 3245 copiers from v02.11 to v02.12:
Description; An additional Hard Disk Drive has been added.

[Service mode] Options have been given whether to use or not to use a specific SSL algorithm among the followings from the service mode: - SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA - SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5 - SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC4_40_MD5 - SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_RC2_CBC_40_MD5 - SSL_RSA_EXPORT_WITH_DES40_CBC_SHA - SSL_RSA_WITH_DES_CBC_SHA Service mode (LV2): >COPIER >OPTION >BODY >SSLSTRNG 0: Use CipherSuites (default)

Steps need to be followed, if the HDD was formatted with an older version of the SST.

***If after formatting the HDD, the machine constantly reboots and Download Mode is not accessible.

****If a HDD was formatted with an older version of the SST, a new drive will need to be installed. In some cases, the Main Controller may have to be sent to an APRF facility to be reset.

Note:1
****ONLY USE SERVICE SUPPORT TOOL VERSION 4.04_ or newer.
Delete any earlier versions of the SST from the laptop and install version 4.04Eq.or newer. Version 4.04Eq and newer will not allow formatting of the HDD, bsecause this model does not support formatting of the drive.

Note:2
Only Canon HDD are supported, because the drives come pre loaded with the BIOS Software to boot the machine
