Good day Sir, I'm working with this unit I replaced the Lever Lock right Slide and after that E015 occurred. I think the timing of the gears in the main drive causes this error. Anybody have an idea's how to timing the gears. TIA

Also if you have a irac1022-1030 manual it has instructions but not in color. I am not familiar with this model but the hp color has the same. Four toner/drum units stacked on top of each other. Kinda tricky, I think one adjustment gets the gears timed right and the other so the drum units are pushed in at the same time. We try and do it in the shop as it has taken all of us multiple times to get the timing correct. The lever on both sides breaks but mostly the one on the main drive side. I think they change the drums and don't get them in right and force the door closed to break it. I hate that call and try to do it in the shop, two people carrying machine is easy or one big strong guy. If it takes several times to get a good test color chart don't feel bad. These techs here are very experienced and we have all had to do it a couple of times. Occasionally you get lucky and only have to do it once. If you took off the main drive without the instructions this could be your answer. My boss said he did not know about it and the first time did not have to adjust anything but he was very lucky. See page 7-26 of mf9280 manual or search main drive unit. If you remove too many screws the main drive unit comes apart and you have bigger problems.Last edited by dan7777; 08-05-2016, 08:54 PM.Comment
