Canon IR2535i Fax

Hi, hey I just installed a modem on this IR2535i with no install manuals.
No dial tone? Is there a dip switch involved or plug & play?
I do have service manuals.

shoul be plug and play, was the fax board new in box or used ? there is another board that mounts to the controller, the fax board as well as a battery and several cables

I am going by memory as the install instructions are not in service manual revision 9.

There's a fax box another board that plugs onto the main controller and at least one ribbon cable a multi wire cable and a power red/black type cable these connect between the fax box and the main controller.

Every i model already comes with the battery so I don't think this is needed.

Thanks to all, found problem, ribbon cable folded at connector causing a short.
No more Fax option on this machine. Lol
