When you try to do the HD Format using the SST, it will give you a model mismatch error and it will indicate what model HDD it is seeing.
Write down that info EXACTLY as it is written.
Then find the HDD ift format file (normally will be on your C: drive in a folder called ServTool.
If you open the file, scroll down the list of "accepted" HDD and find the one that has the closest match to the new one you are installing, then edit the first line (model) so it matches EXACTLY what you wrote down earlier.
Then save this as an ift file again in the same place it was before.
Then go back into download mode, start the SST and try again. If everything went right (and with a little luck!) it should download the HHD Format with no error.
If you just can't get it to work, try another HDD model.

Or look online for. WM-5222-020 HDD.
