    IRC250 ADF feed jams.

Two new machines and two calls for ADF feed problems. Anybody have these models that have same problem? I am going out on call now and replacing feed roller assembly and guide with new sep assembly. I have searched through canon a few times and found nothing. Looks like a cheap feed unit with small rollers to me. I doubt the machine I am going to replace rollers on has 5000 copies yet. Don't have jam code yet as this is second call in a month and they just got machine a few months ago. Last time they told me paper was flat not folded.

Guess I am only one having adf feed issues. First machine I replaced feed and sep pad. Have not heard back. They said sounded like motors turning but paper did not feed in. Second machine jammed two sided. Original was folded from in the mail envelope pulled feed assembly and sensor flag had two beefy springs. Guess design flaw, paper jams feeding second side back in and I guess fold makes it stop at that lever. Has a ratchet sound as it feeds paper. Intermittent noise maybe twice in ten copies or not at all. Sounds exactly like you take a socket wrench and turn it fast. Don'the think it is fuser. New copier with 1000 copies. Anyone who has heard that ratchet sound and knows what is is I would appreciate it. Asked my boss to go with me to help. Noise in machine not adf.
