[Error Code] Canon DR-X10C scanner Error

    Hi all,

Got one of these fast scanners which throws a E-025 error code every other day or so, customer resets it and away it goes again for another day or so. Manual suggests paper pick up motor failing??

Anyone got experience of these machines

DR-X10C is multiple feeding and occasionally generating E025 error.

The cause of multiple feeding and occasional E025 is related to the Separation Motor's poor torque.
To verify the Separation Motor' s proper drive, access the Service Mode using the latest Tool (V3.29/or V3.33) and select the Dcon Check tab. Test run the Separation Motor (M9) while applying a minimal load to the motor by pressing your finger on the separation roller.
In normal condition the motor torque should resist a minimum resistance. If roller stopped under this moderate pressure then the motor should be replaced.
Error E025 is listed in DR-X10C Service Manual being related to Pick Up Motor failure, but replacing a defective Separation Motor resolved the error E025 as well.
