Hi. I get that. The paper doea not lift all the way to the top. It stops halfway, so when the rollers go down to pick up the paper, it does not touch the paper at all. There is a gap between the paper and the roller.

Hello, I know this is an old post, but did you find a solution to this? I have an Adv4235 doing the same thing on Tray 2. It lifts paper halfway up then stops and of course jams. We have replaced cassette, pfu and lift motor, no change.

Has anyone had a problem where the tray only lifts halfway then stops?

Lifter gear on cassette is fine and not broken. This problem has now also moved to tray 2 and 4. Replaced harness and DC. Problem still persists.

You cannot move tray 4 or tray 3 to tray 2 or tray 1. You can only move tray 3 to tray 4 or tray 4 to tray 3 only.
if you change the CFU unit deck to tray1 and tray2,it will cause you paper jam sign or it will lifts halfway and stop
