    iRC3200 w/ ImagePass C1

Not sure if this has been covered somewhere..

Why (and can it be fixed) do gray scale prints get counted as colour copies on a 3200 with a fiery rip? (its from a mac if that makes a difference)

    can it be fixed?

Hi presume that the grayscale is 'rich black' is 4 c a opposed to 'pure black' yes you guessed right- 1 c

most applications on mac will be set rgb ouput so check that and set all to pure black.

    hope this helps

Greyscale has always been counted as colour.
Postcript driver is the only driver that has "Process Pure Black" settings in-built and it needs to be selected on the rip AND the driver for it to work.
