How to reset ID code NP-6230

I've recently been given a Canon NP-6230 copier. When I turn it on it asks for a user id. Is there any way to reset the codes? Thanks for any help

press *button, stop button, id button, * button.

Well I tried it and it doesn't work. All it does is beep. The * key is the Additional Function key? Is there supposed to be a menu to confirm that it has cleared the codes? Any other suggestions?

I'm very sorry for week late reply. It's same with the 6050 progran. you have to enter id code page registration by using that button sequence, then you can erase or change id #. You can also check id# on that page.
